COMMITTEES
Committees are a great way to get involved and help out. If you have the luxury of time, we would love to have you join us at one of our committees. We create a few of these throughout the year to help out with the big ticket fundraisers that require a lot of parent involvement. Each committee will be chaired by one of the board members and will consists of class parents as well. Schedules will be coordinated and all members will be given an itinerary or plan for their role. Not all these committees run at the same time. Free feel to join one or more committees or just offer to donate a gift to be raffled off. Parent involvement can be as little or as much as you want. More committees will be created as needed or warranted. Take a look below at the committees we are looking to form so far and complete the form below to sign up for a committee of your choosing:
Picture day committee 10/8/24 (2-3 volunteers needed)
This yearly in school fundraiser is always a hit! What’s better to raise money than taking pictures and capturing memories of our beautiful children. We need a few volunteers to help organize lines for the pictures, stay with the children and assign their forms.
Election day committee 11/5/24 (4-6 volunteers needed )
Election day will take place 11/5 this year between the hours of 6am and 9pm. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. This event requires a lot of prep time before and during the Election Day. This committee consists of parents/guardians volunteering to do the following: solicit gifts and donations from businesses & organizations on & off the island, wrap, organize and inventory all gifts and donations, volunteer for a block of time on election day, donate time for set up the night before and the morning of election day (Setting up all displays and gifts/donations, prepping bake sale and raffles, and setting up tables & stations). Committee would begin end of September/beginning of Oct and end on 11/2
Holiday Committee 12/3-12/5/24 (4-5 volunteers)
We are excited to bring back our annual holiday shop where children can purchase gifts for their loved ones and very low prices. This is a great opportunity for children to learn to budget and save money all while shopping at the comfort of their school for their loved ones. Volunteers are needed to help stock, set up, break down and assist the children in shopping.
Card Party 2024 3/14/2025 (20-25 volunteers needed)
This is the biggest fundraiser for the PTA and its definitely one one of the toughest. This requires months of planning and organizing and lots of manpower. This event will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 6:30pm. Volunteers would be required to: meet monthly w committee to continue to plan for event and touch base, solicit gifts and donations from businesses & organizations on & off the island, wrap, organize and inventory all gifts and donations, prepare all raffles, volunteer for a block of time on the event day, donate time for set up the night before and the day of the event, and collect journal ads from various businesses & organizations.
